Gulley gratings stolen from road in Manton

Officers from Rutland are appealing for information after a theft in Manton.
The incident happened between 6pm on Friday August 17 and 9.30am on Saturday August 18, 2012 when 12 gulley gratings were stolen from the A6003 near to the railway bridge.

The gratings are made of cast iron and are 18 inches by 18 inches in size.
PC Paul Anderson, the investigating officer, said: "Due to the number of gratings taken, it may have taken more than one person to carry them and a vehicle to remove them from the location.

"If you can recall anyone acting suspiciously in the area from Friday evening through to Saturday morning or remember seeing someone loading this property onto a vehicle in Manton, please get in touch.”
