Support From Oakham Town Councillor

I receive a lot of emails and comments not always wanted. Some are a bit puzzling, like this one received late night from Oakham Town Councillor Adam Lowe.

In answer too his question, I did not find him odd, someone who works in the building trade is going to naturally think I am a arsehole. his odd question does puzzles me.

I wonder if he has just arrived back from a good night at the pub, nothing wrong with that.

Martin

Good luck with your Council thing. It is Greetham yes? If I enjoy the OTC and am fortunate enough to be on again I may think bigger in the distant future.

Question, do I act odd in some way ? You seem to think so ?

Police News

.

A man who handed his identity to police on a plate by leaving his passport behind after trying to use a ‘cloned’ credit card has been given a 16-week suspended sentence and been banned from entering the City of Westminster for 12 months.

Foysol Ahmed, 21, of McKenzie Road, Islington, was sentenced on Tuesday 15 June, after earlier pleading guilty to fraud by misrepresentation. Ahmed also pleaded guilty to failing to fulfil a community order requirement from a previous conviction.

Detective Sergeant Neil Black, of BTP’s High Tech Crime Unit, said the incident occurred at 10.30pm on Thursday 19 November last year:

“Ahmed gave his passport over as proof of ID when trying to buy two 7-day bus passes with the fraudulent credit card at Angel Tube station.

“However, when the ticket seller became suspicious, Ahmed fled the station, leaving his passport behind.”

BTP attended the station and used the passport to trace Ahmed before arresting him.

The card Ahmed had tried to use had been encoded with details stolen from an unsuspecting credit card holder.

“It gives an investigation a real boost when a significant piece of the puzzle is already in place,” added DS Black.

“By leaving his passport behind, Ahmed ensured it was only a matter of time before we caught up with him.

“We also showed him CCTV evidence of him fleeing the booking hall at the time of the offence leaving him no option but to plead guilty.”

A Swiss scheme to use a guardian angel to urge motorists to slow down is proving such a success that it may be extended.

Police in the state of Fribourg employed a winged man dressed in white to stand at the roadside to remind drivers to go slow.

The professional actor waves and flaps his wings at motorists travelling too fast as part of the safe-driving campaign.

He is the real-life version of an angel that features in the initiative's TV commercials who is hit by a young motorist as he hurriedly drives out of his garage.

"The idea is to provide a sort of concrete protection, to have a real angel telling drivers to be responsible," said police spokesman Benoit Dumas.

"To have a physical presence like that makes the message more visible, and it's out of the ordinary."

The actor is employed 20 hours per week to 'appear' in different parts of the 670-square-mile region of western Switzerland.

"The initiative will go on until at least end of October, but it could be prolonged. After all, you know, angels are eternal," Dumas said.

Drivers who spot the angel are encouraged to e-mail the police - they will then be entered into a lottery for a driving lesson.

Two teenage 'entrepreneurs' have been arrested for selling burgers and beer - with free porn DVDs - from a caravan near clubs and bars.

They allegedly screened porn movies onto a nearby wall to attract custom to their unlicensed venture in Driffield, East Yorkshire.

The pair even had a Facebook page - Driffield Porn Burger Caravan Lads for Junior Apprentice 2011 - set up in their 'honour'.

Customers were allegedly given a free porn DVD if they spent more than £5 on food and drink, reports the Driffield Times.

But the offer was spotted by outraged locals who alerted police and two men were arrested following an undercover operation.

Police also seized their caravan which was parked on an access road in the centre of the market town, close to clubs and bars.

Sgt David Jenkins said: "We received complaints that free porn DVDs were being offered to everyone who spent £5 or more on beer and burgers.

"Undercover officers made test purchases and found this to be true before Saturday night's operation when the caravan was seized.

"It was inevitable that we would have to take some action along with our colleagues from licensing, the food standards agency and trading standards.

"Enquiries are ongoing and there are decisions to be made as to the fate of the van and the entrepreneurs."

A 74-year-old woman has been arrested by US police in their search for a vandal who has been pouring condiments into a drop box at a local library.

Police say Joy Cassidy is suspected of causing thousands of dollars in damage to library books with liquids including ketchup, corn syrup and mayonnaise.

She was caught after having just allegedly dropped an open jar of mayonnaise into the drop box outside Ada County Library in Boise, reports the Idaho Statesman.

Police say 10 similar acts of vandalism have been committed at the library in little more than a yea
Officers had staked out the library car park, passing by the area regularly, and pulled over a car matching the description of a suspicious vehicle that seemed to be in the area every time vandalism has occurred.

Boise police spokesman Chuck McClure said officers pulled the vehicle over and talked with the driver, later identified as Ms Cassidy.

When police took her into custody, they found a loaded handgun under the driver's seat of her car.

McClure said police have not yet determined a motive for the vandalism. Ms Cassidy has been charged with injury to property and carrying a concealed weapon.

An Iowa man ended up in jail after he was pulled over for driving on a motorway at night with no lights - on a lawn mower.

Robert Grimstad, 38, was allegedly driving all over Highway 17, near Des Moines, when he was stopped by sheriff's deputies.

He told police officers that he was out on his six-speed lawn mower picking up cans out of community spirit.

But officers smelt alcohol on his breath, gave him a blood test and charged him with drink driving, reports the Des Moines Register.

Boone County Sheriff Ron Fehr says it's illegal in Iowa to drive any kind of motor vehicle anywhere in Iowa while drunk.

Sheriff Fehr was unable to confirm how fast Grimstad was going: "I don't know," he said. "How fast can a lawn mower go?"

Oakham Town Council in Love with the Police

Independent Police Complaints CommissionImage via Wikipedia

For the second time this week, I find my self in Oakham Police Station.

Tuesday I spent nearly 3 hours being interviewed by Standards for England, some of the complaints from Doris Cook maybe thrown out because she made them when I was not a councillor, She has Oakham Town Council to thank for that, they deliberately delayed the signing of my acceptance papers, papers you can sign as soon as you are declared elected. I have to await confirmation.

I was surprised by the number complaints made by Cllr Haworth who tells everyone he made me so welcome he forget to mention that he was complaining to Standards and obstructing my work as a Cllr.
Now I believe he is upset by the text message I sent to him when I resigned and for delivering documents to his home for secure disposal. The police have given me an invitation to attend tomorrow to discuss a complaint made by Cllr Haworth and will arrange a solicitor for me. They want to put  stop to all this crap. So do I that is why they are also arranging to deal with Mr Harrison and Mr Burton tomorrow. I would like to thank the friend who printed of Mr Harrison's blog and comments he approves that suggest I am a danger to children and the  same for printing all Mr Burtons twitter account. Of course the police should have assisted long ago. Fortunately there are a lot more new officers at Oakham and  not corrupted yet. And my complaint to the IPCC

I had to go to the police station yesterday  because Cllr Lucas complained to the police I had sent her a email asking her to resign for calling me a peodo, I still think she should. Good to see her abusing her police contacts through her committee membership, reminds me of Cllr Dewis and Cllr Haworth who are also members.

The police told me as a councillor you must expect people to call you a looney, not that  I have called them that, can any one explain why the police are not telling them the same.

They are part of a seriously dysfunctional council and this was created by them and their ex councillor friends and with the full support of Rutland County Council. I feel there must be a divide Standards come to the conclusion its dysfunctional not just me saying it!

Six months ago ago if Rutland County  Council had told me they had no authority over the parish council and it was down to the secretary of state things maybe different now.

Ex Cllr Mrs Tyers I was not aware your mother died ten years ago and the content of my text did not mention this event . You may not be aware of the following Mobile phone companies have to keep keep records of all text message sent. So I was happy to confirm to the police the number given could be my mobile broadband number I have not check yet. When are you and your friend going to stop harassing me!

Who knows if this continues the police might come along and take all our computers away and all the the secrets will be revealed.

The owners of e-mail address's such as whislteblower2009  and who posted the offensive images. could all be revealed

Hope they won't forget ******** and deal with  his importing and selling of viagra  hope the man in the bungalow up his road doesn't die ,   did not realise how serious this was until I watched Fake Britain  a lot more serious than supporting the mob  who harass me. He has the cheek to say I am a dole scum  & sponger and weirdo and a peodo for taking photographs, then goes to the  police because I don't edit his number  from his text messages, when published, at least I am not putting peoples lives at risk.

I think lifestyle gives the game away, lives in a big house, smart car, flash holidays , night life and clubbing.

Leicestershire and Rutland Constabulary.

Leicestershire and Rutland Constabulary.

http://www.leics.police.uk/

Inspector Monks is the police commander of Rutland.

He likes to be known as Johnny Monks, I think that is one of his first mistakes, immediately he looses that element of respect afforded to his role.

I often remember to talking to my father about school and referring to my teacher, I said Geoff told me…. My Father asked who is Geoff, I replied my teacher, my father was angry and hit me and I think this is when dumbing down started. I was 13 and could not understand my fathers anger at why my teacher did not want to be known as Mr or Sir. I guess you can say I rebelled and very frequently am I address by my surname.

Many readers may not know Inspector Monks produces a monthly news letter, in his letter he promotes the good work of Rutland’s Police.

He says the main focus of his policing team is keeping Rutland a safe place to work and live.

He says we have a low amount of crime and anti social behaviour.

This not what people are telling me who live in around my ward. Many people just don’t bother reporting incidents due to lack of interest from Oakham Police.

If you live in the path of a local pub, like residents in Finkey Street, you may have fitted a security door to the front of your home because you are fed up repairing your wooden front door.

Cold Overton Road residents suffer the same it could be your pot plants are smashed, you door kicked or a large amount of litter in the streets or gardens.

If you live around Royce Recreation Ground where do I start? Fires, Litter, damage to property and noise (at this weeks council meeting we are expected to approve the purchase of a replacement piece of play equipment after the new swing has been broken twice £14,500 is the quote!)
Residents often write to Oakham Town Council complaining about Anti Social Behaviour. Although this area is the ward I serve, I am never copied those letters.

After the recent installation of play equipment, one letter was read out at a council meeting, with the name and address removed. Although other Councillor knew the name I was not told, the author highlighted concerns.

The entire council including the other two ward councillors, Lucas and Haworth rejected the complaint and patronised the author by saying they always complain and should not live near recreation ground. Not everyone is fortunate to live in the more affluent areas of Oakham as is the case of many councillors. I suggest we relocate Royce Recreation and all its young people into their neighbourhood.

Inspector Monks reports up to 1st April we have had thirteen burglaries seven less than the previous year. There was a 50% reduction in anti social behaviour.

The force had given £2,500 to local worthy causes and charities, The proceeds of crime act 2002 allows the police to take money from criminals and give it to charities.

I think Inspector Monks is living in a cloud, he needs to come down to earth. I suggest people are not reporting crime because of apathy. My own experienceof the local force is one of we can’t be bothered.

I am especially pleased Mr Hibbert has gone, he was employed as a civilian and posted to the front desk at Oakham Police Station. He often told the public he was a real police officer he forgot to mention he was retired an no longer a serving officer.

Officers often said to me don’t show me the letter or the photograph because I will have to complete a statement. Is that not what one hopes would happen when you visit a police station?

Leicestershire police have a record of not listening to people it stretches back many years.

Most recently the tragic case of the mother who was so taunted she killed herself and her daughter.

Then there was the complaints about Frank Beck who worked for Leicestershire Social Services, he nearly slipped through the net until he moved to Hertfordshire Social Services. People often complained about him this included my own brother who Mr Frank taught to drive whilst preying on him.

Repeated complaints did pay off in the end and Beck was convicted, many other members of the etablishment got away with the help of Leicestershire and Hertfordshire police.

Hertfordshire Police are in my view the same as Leicestershire.

It was good to see Hertfordshire police finally listened to a mother and a Letchworth man has been sent to prison for sending obscene text messages teenage to her teenage daughter. If the mother had not persistently complained this man would have continued.

They keep telling us the police have changed, they never change. The glossy adverts and brochures have changed.

I made a complaint to the IPC and guess what they now ask the same police force to investigate themsleves!
So not much chance of anything ever being resolved here in Oakham.

I dont think the police have every changed they will always support the establishment. It reminds me of one of my early memories of the police not handling things correctly the time a caretaker at Icknield School in Letchworth used to check school records and find mothers telephone numbers and call them for self gratification this was before 0898 numbers when you could dial a disc on 16 for the cost of a local call, no premium rate then. Dozens of mothers complained at Letchworth police station including my own mother before they took action almost a year later, it was rumoured the police only took action because the police sergeants wife became a victim, Back then it was very easy the police to trace callers. The police I feel took no action because North Hertfordshire District Council did not want the police to take any action for fear of adverse publicity.

So in conclusion if you want change just keep complaining, don’t give up, the three clowns from Oakham Town Council, who sit on police committees not going to help bring change because they are not interested in receiving your input.

They are so happy with their involvement with the police Cllr Dewis arranged for their permanent unelected membership of the committee.

Referring to Cllr Alf Dewis in a recent blog, I published he was sacked by Rutland County Council along with another member of staff after a tribunal found in favour of a member of staff who was sacked whilst of sick.

Cllr Alf Dewis did not approach me for a correction instead he raised a complaint with the standards committee.

I have checked Cllr Alf Dewis was not sacked he resigned before he could be sacked.

I am not sure why he sees this as a matter for standards for England to Investigate.

My publication suggesting he was sacked could not do him any harm because his Consultancy Company has been dissolved, his customers made up their own minds before I published anything.

It is very interesting he has not complained about my publications about his bullying.

Councillors like proof. I found a site Alf used to display photographs of me that had been photoshopped, all part of his fun group of Councillors present and past and their friends.

The bully has thankfully deleted the comments and images.

I have registered my details with Google and they send me e-mail notification of any internet posting made about me. It is a wonderful tool will and certainly help in any harassment case. the behaviour conducted by Councillors and their mates is unacceptable, I would prefer they just grew up and stopped!

Here is one Google example.

Alfred Secret Weapon funny pictures - Sources Full view Please . ... Brookes Oakham: Rutland County Council Councillor Alf Dewis - Martin Brookes Oakham ...

Cllr Dewis should really consider resigning he is clearly helping to bring Oakham Town Council into direpute.

I suggest too the police the photo shop experts like Dewis and Harrison are responsible for the disgusting images sent to me via email and the post.

Leicestershire Constabulary Domestic Abuse Survey

Leicestershire Constabulary  Domestic Abuse Survey

Leicestershire Constabulary would like you to complete an online survey to collect information on why Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) people who experience domestic abuse are less likely to report the incident to the police.

Nationally, only 20% of homophobic and transphobic crimes are reported to the police and LGBT people made up less than 1% of domestic abuse incidents reported last year to local police. Detective Sergeant Pete Williams, Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding Adults Co-ordinator said: “We believe that the number of domestic abuse incidents reported to police from people who are in same sex relationships may just be the tip of the iceberg. It is important that we identify and understand the barriers that may be stopping Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered people from contacting the police. This survey will support our aim to assess the level of service we provide and to identify opportunities to improve wherever we need to. By completing this survey, people will help us to tailor our service to help build confidence and trust between LGBT community members and Leicestershire Constabulary.”

All of the comments and feedback will be treated in the strictest confidence to help Leicestershire Constabulary continue to improve our service to the people that we serve in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The survey can be accessed on the Leicestershire Constabulary website at: http://www.leics.police.uk/surveys/samesexdomestic/. If you are a victim of domestic abuse and would like to speak to someone in confidence please call the Broken Rainbow National LGBT Domestic Violence Helpline on 08452 604460.
