Looking very smart in a traditional proper police uniform.

Oakham, Remembrance Sunday 2012, The Royal British Legion, ABF The Soldiers Charity, Paul Beech, The Royal Marines, Photographs

Pictured Right Mr Paul Beech Former Oakham Mayor, Area organiser for the
ABF Soldiers Charity.
Usually Mr Beech keeps his bullying and intimidation cowardly private
but not today, enjoying the protection of Leicestershire Constabulary
he decided to bring his despicable conduct out into public.
The Conservative Chairman of Rutland County Council  Cllr Parsons
was visible upset, when I showed him the photograph, He said "I am very upset,
that is my wife beside Mr Beech" It is not Mrs Parsons fault she is married to
a Tory so I agreed to hide her in this image, a pity as she has such a lovely smile.

Oakham Mayor Cllr  Alf Dewis Said "Mr Beech is not a dignitary any more and  I think this is the point I am meant to say no comment"'

Deputy Mayor Cllr Adam Lowe expressed his shock.

Various Army Officers pointed out "he is in uniform" one asked me "you're not going to publish it, we have a reputation to upkeep"

For far to long now, I have been bullied intimidated and subjected to malicious conduct by the likes of Mr Beech and local governance supported by Leicester Constabulary.

Mr Beeches conduct today is a betrayal of the fallen.

Self-styled local dignitary ex Oakham Town Council Mayor Paul Beech who claims to be a leading
"respectable" citizen of the county town of Rutland and  Regional Organiser of the Army Benevolent Fund, the Soldiers  Charity, saw fit to raise two rude fingers - complementing the gesture with colourful language, directed at the camera,
while dressed in a regimental green beret of the Royal Marines and sporting his own and his father's
medals.

although I have often been sent invitations by real dignitaries to photograph these sorts of events, ex mayor Beech always appears to be quite antagonistic when he spots this cameraman.

Such a pity he feels it necessary to spoil an otherwise dignified and solemn occasion with his lewd language and inappropriate gesture.

His betrayal of those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom is a sad betrayal.

Police Stations throughout Leicestershire and Rutland No Flags at Half Mast

undefined
A photograph taken in 2011 showing the costly expense of
flying a flag outside Oakham Police Station

Police Stations throughout Leicestershire and Rutland
would probably have liked to show their respects for
the tragic loss of  PCs Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes,
whose funerals are today and tomorrow.

By simply lowering their flags. this simply
mark of respect has been denied

FLAGPOLES were  torn down from Leicestershire Constabulary
police stations in a bizarre bid to save money, one year ago.

It is claimed A portable mast is moved between stations for special occasions.

I can't imagine what that costs? Does the Chief Constable carry it in the boot of his patrol car?

Former officers called the cost-cutting scheme by Leicestershire Police “a sad sign of the times”.

Poles have been taken down in Market Harborough, Coalville, Loughborough, Oakham and Leicester.

I learnt the budget at Oakham Police station is so tight, the outgoing Inspector was not permitted to take his mug to Loughborough and the reminder of his service is placed in the hands of visitors who require a cup of tea, which I understand is still free if required by visitors.

Leicestershire Constabulary re: Cllr John Nowell, Oakham Town Council, Economic Crime Unit reopen file

Leicestershire Constabulary re: Cllr John Nowell, Oakham Town Council, Economic Crime Unit reopen file

A few months ago I made a complaint to  Leicester Constabulary about  a grant application completed
by Cllr Nowell and his wife on behalf of his one of his companies.

He failed to declare he is a director of that company along with his wife and  a Miss Burton

I found discrepancies with the attached quotes.

And a  obvious error within the companies accounts provided.

I reported this matter to the local police who were reluctant to deal with it despite the sum of money
requested.

The application mentioned they were also attempting to obtain match funding from Melton Borough Council.

I don't know if that application was successful.

After some considerable pestering at the local police station a statement was taken and I was told the
matter would be passed to the economic crime unit to investigate.

Very promptly I received a letter from Inspector Mystry the Rutland LPU Commander saying the case
was closed and no action would be taken against Cllr Nowell or his wife because he incorrectly felt the Councils staff disciplinary procedure would deal with the Councillor.

Then of course Cllr Nowell gave my personal details to one of his charity workers who went on to lie in a police statement they made against me with 8 others.

I replied a couple of times to the Inspectors letter each time I was ignored, so I wrote Police Professional Standards finishing my letter rather cheekily by asking if I could know which Lodge Inspector Mystry belonged to and was it any of the two Cllr John Nowell is a member of?

I waited and today I received a phone call from a detective from the economic crime unit, I mentioned
the Inspectors letter he said that had been bypassed and he was now reviewing the case and would keep me informed.

I have also mention that Mr Nowell once appeared in the local press receiving a huge cheque as a grant to set up a company which appears to only employ his family and at the last look at companies house accounts they were was showing a large debt.

Most interestingly about that matter, is you can no longer find that story on the Rutland Times website.

Now it is known the file has been re-opened , I have packed my tooth brush awaiting  another 8 supporters of Cllr Nowell to make false complaints about me to Inspector Mystery

Oakham Murder Suspects Charged with killing Neil Corby to appear before Judge at Leicester Crown Court in the morning

Floral tributes have been left outside the Oakham flat where Neil Corby, 42, was found dead last week.

Police were called to Gaol Street on Thursday morning where they found Mr Corby’s body.

Adam Barker and Jamie North appeared at Loughborough Magistrates Court on Saturday accused of his murder on Wednesday, September 19.

Adam Barker, 33, of Willoughby Gardens, Oakham, and Jamie North, 33, of Glen Drive, Oakham, were remanded in custody. No pleas were entered.

Both men appeared again at Loughborough Magistrate Court this morning. They were both remanded to appear before Leicester Crown Court in the morning, when a Judge is likely to set a date for a hearing.

Jamie North is also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm to another man.

Adam Barker is also charged with unlawful wounding causing grievous bodily harm to another man.

I was going to publish some of the suspects Face Book post but I post like "The Pigs are Wankers" is
a little bit to colourful even for my blog.

Leicestershire Constabulary have no plans to release the cause of death at this stage, they tell me they
have produced a file for the coroner, who will release the cause of death at the end of the inquest.

HM Coroner for Rutland & North Leicestershire District is not as open and transparent as HM Coroner for Leicester City & South Leicestershire District there is no web site publishing listings.

When I telephoned the office a person who was as helpful as they could be, said the inquest was likely to be opened behind closed doors today and if I call back tomorrow they could provide me with details of the public hearing. Which will be held in Loughborough.

People say nothing happens in Oakham in the seven years I have lived here I am aware of a least
6 tragic deaths, some suicide others drug related deaths and the murder of a police woman.

This case is more noticeable to people, because it is a main street people pass on the way to
Tesco and not a side street.

I walked to the areas of town were the suspects live, a nice sunny day people gardening and
pretty quiet until two men came along who broke the silence, more than just a bit merry.

A COUPLE say they are lucky to be alive after they awoke to find their kitchen on fire.

Jamie North and Emma Baum were in their flat in Waltham House, Glen Drive, Oakham along with 15-month-old daughter Poppy when they were heard a banging noise at 11.30pm on Tuesday.

Jamie thought they had left a door open but when they checked they were shocked to find their toaster, fridge freezer and kitchen units were on fire.

Emma, 26 quickly used a washing up bowl to throw water over the flames and put them out.

She said: “As soon as the flames were out, Jamie ran into to get Poppy from her room and we got out of the flat.

“We got our neighbours to evacuate too, and I called 999 and two fire engines and an ambulance were here very quickly.”

The couple and young Poppy were lucky to only suffer from minor smoke inhalation from the blaze but were left very shaken.

Describing the drama, Emma said: “I just froze and couldn’t believe it. I was in total shock.

“I was shouting ‘get water, get water’.

“I managed to get to the washing up bowl and just throw that over it which luckily put it out.

“We’re all lucky to be alive because we’re quite heavy sleepers and our smoke alarm didn’t go off.

“I know you’re not supposed to throw water onto electricals but I just did what I thought was right and the fire brigade said I did a really good job in putting it out.”

Jamie, 32, said: “I was just so shocked and froze when I saw the flames everywhere.

“I then went to look for towels and before I knew it, Emma had thrown the water over it and put it out.

“She was a hero.”

He added: “I’ve just been made redundant from my job and we don’t have insurance
