Businesses Invited to Attend Annual Summit Rutland County Council’s Annual Business Summit Barnsdale Lodge Hotel

Business Growth Summit Representatives from local businesses are being invited to attend a special meeting to help inform future economic development in Rutland.

Rutland County Council’s Annual Business Summit takes place on Wednesday 11th February 2015 at Barnsdale Lodge Hotel and offers businesses a chance to share their views on how to achieve growth and what the priorities for business support should be over the next three to five years.

The event will also feature a keynote speech from Neil Darwin, Acting CEO of the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership, who will outline the enterprise partnership’s ambitions and their approach to overcoming growth barriers.

Councillor Terry King, Portfolio Holder for Development at Rutland County Council, said: “The Council’s annual business summit looks at how we can further improve the economic landscape here in Rutland and help local businesses thrive.

We welcome all contributions from private sector organisations and encourage business professionals across the county to join us.”

The summit runs from 8.00am to 10.30am, with an opportunity to stay on for Rutland County Council’s 2015/16 Budget Consultation, afterwards.

There will also be display stands on Oakham Enterprise Park, Digital Rutland, The Skills Service and Rutland Adult Learning, for anyone wanting to learn more about these services.
