PORTRAITS OF HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN BY THE CHILDREN OF RUTLAND
At the recent event held in Cutts Close to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a workshop was run at which children were asked to paint a portrait of the Queen.
An exhibition of these portraits was displayed in the Gallery at the Victoria Hall
Many Prizes were presented by the Mayor of Oakham, Cllr Alf Dewis,

Church Street Oakham Major Fire Incident Photographs
Fire Service returned to the scene of the Church Street fire at around mid day after some timers re-ignited.
About 12.30 the police returned and sealed of the scene until about 6pm after receiving information from
a member of the public. I was also given the same information.

There is also a post office, a railway station and a library in Bottesford.

Firemen assists with the Salvage of one of Oakham most important assets
The fire started around 1 am and is thought to have started in the kitchen of L' Oliveto, The Fire has also had a devasting effect for other companies. Oakham Dance Studio is effected and Beans Coffee Shop remains closed. Reid Associates above is also severly damgaged nearby resident had to leave their homes.The owner of L' Oliveto said customers can call the Rutland Water L' Oliveto regarding bookings.
