Rutland County Councillor Alan Walters has let down his voters and joined the Conservative Group
Alan has won two elections since 2011 as an independent after Labour dumped him.
The second in 2015 he was uncontested.
Alan was a respected Independent Cllr by those in his ward who are generally not
Tory voters.
I think Alan should resign so an election can be called. His voters did not vote for
a Tory.
Alan was the chair of the Independent Group, which formed in May 2015.
Alan has also been a Town Councillor twice.
My sympathy is expressed to the voters of Alan's ward and his friends and family.
