What we have to remember is we are being asked to celebrate our Tory Council
and it is rubbish.
The gentleman who who describes are town and county as rubbish is entitled to his
opinion,
In my opinion our town and county is a wonderful place to live, it is a shame employment
is not that available.
The lady in dark glasses needs to remove them Rutland County Council is not keeping
our town clean or should I say it is not cleaning up after the litter bugs who spoil our
town and county.

KNOW THE SIGNS: INFORMATION ON SUICIDE AND SELF-HARM FOR PARENTS
Suicide is a leading cause of death for young people in the UK and Republic of Ireland.- Why do young people take their own lives? What are the signs of someone being at risk?
- What should I do if I know someone who is feeling suicidal?
- Is there a link between self-harm and suicide?
- How can I help my child?
Reducing teenage suicide
3 crucial initiatives to combat teenage suicide:- Helping pupils develop emotional skills
Our emotional health activities in schools help young people develop the awareness and skills they need to manage difficult times in their lives.
- Being available whenever young people need to talk
We know that teenagers feel more comfortable communicating by text or email, so we've made ourselves available for them this way, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- We're responding quickly whenever there's a crisis
Suicide in schools can act as a trigger for other young people who may be going through a difficult time or struggling to cope themselves.
When a suicide occurs our specially trained volunteers offer support to schools.
Your donation
Your donation can help us combat teenage suicide and offer young people a confidential place to explore their feelings. If you would like to help us support young people before they reach crisis point, please donate online today.

Rutland Dyslexia Roadshow - Victoria Hall, Oakham - 1st April
Rutland Dyslexia Roadshow - Victoria Hall, Oakham - 1st April
Saturday, April 1st
Dyslexic or think you might be? Concerned about someone who could be? Rutland Dyslexia is holding a one-day Information Roadshow at Victoria Hall in Oakham on Saturday 1st April 2017.
The event will signpost local organisations and discuss the support materials and new technologies available to dyslexic adults, children and their families. Dyslexic children and adults, their parents/families, educators, employers and the wider community are encouraged to attend in order to see how simple changes in the classroom or workplace can make a world of difference to pupils or employees with dyslexia.
A limited number of FREE dyslexia screening appointments are on offer to Rutland residents through The Dyslexia Association, based in Nottingham. Please visit their stand to register your interest.
This has been made possible by the generous fundraising donation from Sophie Little, who raised over £1700 running a half-marathon in memory of her close friends’ mum, Anne Sudborough, Rutland Dyslexia’s dedicated secretary and talented Dyslexia teacher.
Expert advice, signposting, tips and techniques are available on the day with a host of specialist businesses showcasing some of the useful resources available. Exhibitors include The Dyslexia Association, Think-A-Link, Oakham Library, Wordshark & Numbershark plus a demonstration of the latest gadgets, software, and apps and including a Livescribe pen demonstration.
To find out more please visit our Facebook page Rutland Dyslexia.
