The Rocks By Rail Easter Egg Hunt & Rutlander Train
Sunday, April 16th
The Rocks By Rail Easter Egg Hunt is back! The popular Egg Hunt has become the traditional start to the museums operating season.
A dozen eggs with names will be hidden all around the museum and along our railway line, all you have to do is pick up a form from our cafe, find the eggs, jot down their names, and take your form back to the cafe to claim your free Creme Egg for your efforts!
The Rutlander Train will also be in operation. Pay once and ride all day in one of our two passenger brake vans,
hauled by one of our historic steam locomotives.
The trip will take you from our platform and along the former minerals
branch line which once served the sidings of the ironstone quarries in
the area.
Visitors can also view our fleet of historic ironstone locomotives in the recently opened Simon Layfield Exhibition Centre which now houses the greater part of the museums collection. The Woolsthorpe Workshop is also open for visitors to see progress of ongoing locomotive restorations.
The Sundew Cafe will be open all day to provide hot and cold beverages and snacks.
Price: Adult £8, Senior Citizen £7, Child (3-14 years) £5

The Missing People Choir is led by the charity Missing People, which is an independent charity reliant on public donations to fund our work supporting missing children and adults and their families left behind.
The choir has performed at several Missing People events including our flagship challenge event "Miles for Missing Children" and our annual Carol Services in St-Martin-in-the-Fields. Below you can see videos of the choir performing ‘I Miss You’ which was written by Jim Hawkins and Simon Rhodes, with lyrics by Peter Boxell whose son Lee has been missing since 1988; 'Don't Let it Go Away', which was written by Alice Gross and arranged by Jim Hawkins and "I Hope", which was written by Ash Alexander and Jim Hawkins

Informal Meet & Greet Paralympic Triathletes
Saturday, April 15th
As part of a Paratriathon training day, hosted by Inspire2tri and led by ArcticOne Foundation, we are very lucky to have Andy J Lewis MBE (Paralympic Gold Medalist in Rio 2016) & Clare Cunningham (former Paralympic Champion Swimmer and Triathlete) here to host an informal "meet & greet" session in the studio. Whilst open to all, this is especially targeted towards local young triathletes and disability athletes of all ages from within the county who want to learn more about paralympic sport and meet two very inspiring world class athletes.
There is no charge, it is informal - you can pop in when it's convenient between these times but please call 01572 244224 or email me on mary@inspire2tri.co.uk to confirm by Sat 8th April. If number permit we will plan a formal presentation from Andy & Clare towards the end of the session. So, come along and get inspired!
