It's time for change.

Today Ed will be driving the to the Royal Mail depot in Milton Keynes for delivery very

After we completed our task we enjoyed fish and chips from our favourite fish

Liberal Democrats Manifesto CONSTITUTIONAL & POLITICAL REFORM Fix a broken system

Liberal Democrats Manifesto CONSTITUTIONAL & POLITICAL REFORM  Fix a broken system

People should have power over their own lives and how their country is run. We would revitalise our political system - so it works for everyone - with fairer votes and more devolution.

Ordinary citizens and local communities are too often excluded and left frustrated by over-centralised, unrepresentative politics. Liberal Democrats will empower local communities, letting them take control of the services that matter most to them.

Liberal Democrats Manifesto International Affairs

Liberal Democrats Manifesto International Affairs

Fight for a better world
Liberal Democrats are internationalists – working with our European and global partners to champion human rights, help the poorest and protect our country and our allies. We will fight isolationist policies to maintain the UK’s proud record of international leadership.

We are patriotic, optimistic and progressive. At a challenging time for peace and security across the world Liberal Democrats will champion multilateral organisations like the UN and NATO to most effectively tackle our shared challenges.

Liberal Democrats Rights

Liberal Democrats Rights

Defend rights, promote justice & equalities
Liberal Democrats believe that every person is entitled to the same opportunity to succeed in life. We aim to reduce inequality, fight discrimination and protect freedom. We reject the toxic rhetoric about immigrants that pretends racism is a kind of patriotism.

After years of falling crime, we have seen an increase - particularly in violent crime. Liberal Democrats will invest more in local police forces. We will continue international security co-operation - combatting organised crime, terrorism and child sexual exploitation.

Liberal Democrat Environment Ed Davey

Keep our country green
Climate change and air pollution threaten our future – but by investing in renewable energy and stopping the waste of energy and natural resources, we can protect our health and the environment, and boost the economy.

UK air pollution is a killer. Liberal Democrats will introduce an Air Quality Plan to reduce air pollution, and generate jobs and exports by supporting green industries that manufacture electric and low-emission vehicles.

Liberal Democrats Manifesto FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES

Liberal Democrats Manifesto FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES

Support families and communities
We want to see a fair society, where everyone has the means to get by and the chance to get on. It means being able to provide for your family, afford decent housing, and enjoy high-quality local services.

Liberal Democrats will create a fair benefits system - reversing unfair Conservative policies that attack the poor and vulnerable. We will empower local communities and councils to take control - running services free from the interference of central government.

Liberal Democrats Manifesto EDUCATION & YOUNG PEOPLE

Liberal Democrats Manifesto EDUCATION & YOUNG PEOPLE

Put children first
Education is at the heart of the Liberal Democrat agenda. Every child deserves the best start in life. But Conservative school cuts mean that children’s chances are determined too often by their parents’ income.

Children’s education is too often distorted by schools’ need to focus on league tables. Teachers deserve to be treated as professionals and given the flexibility to apply their expertise and develop children’s passion for learning.

Liberal Democrat Manifesto Health and Social Care

Save our NHS and care services
The NHS and social care services are in a state of crisis. The Conservatives have left them chronically under-funded, and staff embattled and undervalued, while need continues to grow and patient care suffers.

Liberal Democrats will protect these vital services - funding them sustainably, supporting and valuing health and care workers, and joining up health and social care - so people are able to live well at home.

Liberal Democrat manifesto ECONOMY & BUSINESS Vince Cable

Build an economy that works for you.
Britain needs an economy that creates jobs and opportunities. The Conservative’s actions risk our future, relying on debt to prop up growth. We will build an economy that works for the long term: prosperous, green, and fair.

We will invest in innovation, people and infrastructure - building homes, modernising schools and hospitals, and developing hyperfast broadband and transport networks. We will support entrepreneurs and researchers to thrive in a vibrant knowledge-based economy.
