Two police officers have been dismissed from Leicestershire Police following a gross misconduct hearing.

Two police officers have been dismissed from Leicestershire Police following a gross misconduct hearing.

A private hearing was held over two weeks and the panel reconvened on Thursday 25 May to make a final ruling on the case.

The independent legally qualified chair found that both officers had breached professional standards of behaviour and they have been dismissed from their roles with immediate effect.

Misconduct in Leicestershire Police has been a big problem for many years

There were six misconduct investigations in  November and December 2013.

A constable resigned after being accused of unauthorised use of police computer systems for a personal reason

A special constable resigned after being convicted of drink driving

A constable was dismissed for gross misconduct after being convicted of drink driving

A member of support staff resigned after being convicted of a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act, relating to the unauthorised use of police computer systems

A member of support staff was given a final written warning for misconduct, for breaching professional standards

Management action, for misconduct, was taken against a constable who failed to carry out their duties diligently

The content editor ignores readers comments and continues to let
Cllr Lucas write for the paper, I no longer read the paper and
know many other people who don't for the same reason.
Their website is also dreadful.
