The popular annual Show on Tod's Piece including the Show Tent for budding growers; bakers; chutney & jam makers; photographers; art and crafters, open to adults & children to enter their products to be independently judged. The Fun Dog Show with 7 classes; trades stands; food stalls; traditional tea & cake stall; Pimms Tent; kids games; model railway; demonstrations & much more with live music from Jason Chandler's Jazz Band (change to the original billing) throughout the afternoon. A great free afternoon out for all the family. Anyone looking to enter produce to the Show Tent, head to Don Paddy's in Uppingham between 5-8pm on Saturday 5th. There is also a raffle and grand prize draw on the day. Come along for a great afternoon in the heart of the beautiful town of Uppingham.

Driver For A Fiver at Rocks By Rail

Event Summary
The ever popular 'Driver For A Fiver' returns to Rocks By Rail. This
is your chance to drive a twenty ton Rolls Royce powered diesel shunter for just £5 (normal admission applies).
Take to the controls of a historic diesel locomotive under the
expert guidance of one of our friendly volunteers and take the loco for a trip along our former minerals branch line.
Visitors can also view our fleet of historic ironstone locomotives in
the recently opened Simon Layfield Exhibition Centre which now houses the greater part of the museums collection. The Woolsthorpe Workshopis also open for visitors to see progress of ongoing locomotive
restorations.
Driver For A Fiver is offered on a first come, first served basis. Participants must be able to enter the cab of the locomotive from the platform unaided. Age restrictions may apply.
Price: Adult £8, Senior Citizen £7, Child (3-14 years) £5
