Oakham Fun Day Cutts Close Oakham Rutland 2015
It always rains towards the end of the day of the last day of the concert season.
It did not spoil the event, which was reasonably attended.
Cllr Joyce Lucas introduced wrinkle rock and welcomed the
public and ordered them to have fun be it was a fun day
she pointed out the presence of Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service
who had brought along a fire engine for the children to take
a look at. Young single woman were invited to enjoy the
men in uniform.
Cllr Paul Mills and fellow Rutland Lions did a great job cooking
hamburgers and hot dogs. Oakham Town Council paid
for the first 400
Mr Paul Beech ex Mayor, wife and friend manned a stall
raising funds for The Soldiers Charity.
Oakham Deputy Mayor Cllr Adam and wife run a stall
with children's games Splat the Rat, Treasure Island and
Skittles.
Face Painting and inflatables were very popular

Marie Curie run a Tombola
Jane run her book stall to raise money for the air ambulance
