Oakham Town Council co-opting farce.
A member of the public asked me to give the town clerk their details to be considered for co-option.
I passed their details to the town clerk, the member of the public received no response from Oakham Town Council.
I made a request to know why they had not been contacted.
I was told last night at 6.30pm the member of public would need to writ a letter before the end of today. This member of the public works and does not have time to write a letter and deliver it today.
Another member of the public registered an interest at the same time and received a letter and was told the council had now decided to ask for letter, but in their case they did not need to write. The member of public decided to write.
What a farce!
