Oakham Town Council is still searching for new members.
Oakham Town Council increased its membership from six to eight.
The Council still needs to fill another four seats.
Rutland MP Alan Duncan (Conservative) spoke to Megan Horner at the Rutland Mercury
He said " Local democracy is the front line of politics, and councillors are
the people that make the decisions for the local community. People sometimes
criticise politicians for not doing enough to help them; by joining Oakham Town Council
they have the opportunity to help each other."
