Oakham Town Council, Deputy Mayor, Interviewed by Leicestershire Police today.


Police interviewed Cllr Charles Haworth about his disgraceful behaviour 
in Tesco Oakham last Sunday.


The towns Deputy Mayor used foul language in the presence of many families shopping.

Police appeal following Oakham altercation

Police are appealing for information following the report of an altercation inside a shop in Oakham at the weekend.
The incident happened at approximately 2.50pm on Sunday afternoon (October 16), when two men became involved in an argument in the shop, Tesco, in South Street.
No-one was injured during the incident.
PC Joe Lloyd, the investigating officer, is appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
PC Lloyd said: “The incident happened on a Sunday afternoon, a time when the shop can get quite busy. If you were in the shop and can remember the incident then please call us and help us with our enquiries.
“One of the men involved was quite distressed by the altercation and so I would encourage anyone with information to come forward.”
