BLOATED MPs left £56,442 worth of uneaten food in under a year in a sickening example of waste.

BLOATED MPs left £56,442 worth of uneaten food in under a year in a sickening example of waste.  (The Sun)

This reminded me of the time I stumbled across considerable food waste at Rutland County Council just  before a council meeting was due to start.

I was told I could help myself I did as £10 a week on food does not stretch far. (the yellow labels at Tesco help)

A data protection request later in the year revealed an email complaint from a Conservative councillor about a incident in which I was eating council food. It appears he would have rather have seen the food wasted.

I understand Rutland County Council have reduced food waste and no longer provide free coffee.
