Gurkhas are recruited across the whole of Nepal. By 2015, UKAid will lift 400,000 people out of poverty, provide safe water to 100,000 people and ensure 4 million people are resilient to disasters and climate change. We have expanded and enhanced the Gurkha welfare scheme.
