I sent the following email to Coucillor Charles Haworth Oakham Town Councils Deputy Mayor a email relating to recent council business. it was also copied to all other councillor excluding the one who is subject to a stage one harassment order.
Oakham Town Council met on Wednesday evening and discussed the future plans in private session for the publicly owned fitness centre located in Princess Avenue.
I spoke to the Clerk this morning to obtain the promised outcome of that item.
It was agreed he would e-mail the details so I did not publish incorrect information. The email did not
arrive.
The Town Council has now published on-line a notice of an extra meeting
The meeting is to be held in the morning of the 3rd of April (my birthday that should make it a pleasant day to remember)
I find it strange the council can let public property without advertising it and also failing to consult the public or provide basic details such as the name of the tenant, rent and purpose of use, especially when the building sits on the edge of a public recreation ground in a residential area.
Surely any change of use temporary or long term is subject to planning requirements?
From
Martin Brookes
I received this rather odd response from him this evening.
This is the same man who made false 999 call to the police.
Used very foul word in the Local Tesco store one Sunday afternoon.
There appears to be no way Oakham Town Council can be made to behave in a way that should be expected from a Council. It appears they can do as they please?
Why this man is a Councillor and aloud to act in this most disagreeable fashion I don't know?
