Park House, Glaston opened for the National Garden Scheme

Park House, Glaston opened for the National Garden Scheme

Sunday March 25th

The Park House in Glaston will be opening it's 4 acre gardens as part of the National Garden Scheme. The garden was once part the grounds of Glaston Hall, and glimposes of it's past history can be seen in the wonderful mature trees, the arched lime walk, the medieval fissh ponds and the ha-ha. At this time of year the carpets of spring bulbs and hellebores are at their best and the onrnamental wildfowl are in full display. The formal rose garden and extensive herbacious borders are shgowing signs of life, fresh shoots bursting through and one's visit is enhanced by the many interesting sculptures placed throughout the garden. Parking is easy and home made teas are available just around the corner in the village hall. Admission is £3.50 for adults, free entry for children.

NGS use the money raised from this and all their other garden open days for charity. Last year NGS raised 2.5 million for their chosen charities.
