Ellistown Allotment Site Open Afternoon
Midland
Road Allotment Site welcomes visitors as part of National Allotment
Week offering the chance for a look round and a chat with fellow
gardeners over a drink and a slice of homemade cake.
Organised by Ellistown Allotment & Garden Society.
Measuring will take place for competitions for the Longest Runner Bean; the Heaviest Onion; the Longest Carrot and the Heaviest Beetroot – closing date for entries 30th June.
Also competitions for the Best 3-Veg on a Plate and the best Comedy Root Vegetable with entries taken on the day.
Entry Fees for all competitions: 50p members or £1 non-members. All vegetables must be grown by the individual or their family and further details and entry forms will be available from www.eagsociety.co.uk or ring 01530 456071.
