Oakham Town Council, Financial Reserves Policy
when I pointed out that Oakham Town Council's Clerk had failed to enter the Councils reserves
into the statement of accounts, I was told some rubbish by him "it has not be entered into the accounts
as it would effect the council expenditure"
I still have not not received an explanation to explain that nonsensical explanation.
My calculations came to the conclusion that the council did not have any reserves.
I was told there was not an issue with the accounts, even though they were withdrawn at the last moment.
At last nights council meeting the council adopted a new policy?
If there is no problem I question the need for all these recent changes.
Cllr Guthrie said the new policy will clearly show the council reserve situation.
This will show any General Reserves the council may hold and any earmarked reserves those earmarked
for future projects.
