Riverside Musical Instrument Amnesty, The Bandstand Recreation Ground Stamford

Riverside Musical Instrument Amnesty, The Bandstand Recreation Ground Stamford

Sunday September 9th

One of the key aims of London 2012 is to leave a lasting cultural legacy and Riverside hope to contribute to this legacy by encouraging people to donate any unwanted musical instruments they may have at home to them as part of a Musical Instrument Amnesty during the Bandstand Marathon so others can put them to good use.

So if you have a cello in your cupboard, drums in your den, a guitar in your garage, a lute in your loft or a saxophone on a shelf and they or any other musical instruments you may have are just gathering dust please help give them a whole new lease of life and donate them to the Riverside Amnesty so they can in turn be offered by Riverside to local schools and voluntary organisations.

Through the Amnesty we hope to provide people who may not otherwise be able to afford to buy an instrument, an opportunity to know the pleasure that can be gained from playing.

Any broken instruments that are donated which are beyond economic repair will wherever possible be recycled. Riverside regret that due to space and storage constraints they are unable to accept donations of pianos or other large musical instruments.

If you are unable to get along to the Amnesty but still want to donate an instrument please contact Jenny on 07788 534 290.
