Youth Theatre, Stamford Arts Centre

Come and join a new and exciting era for Stamford Arts Centre’s Youth Theatre Groups.
These weekly workshops are a fun and informative introduction to drama, working towards
productions in December May which are both presented in the theatre.

Over the course of the year, students will cover key performance skills such as improvisation,
role play, character development, vocal technique, mime, movement, text and script work,
and brand new this year – mask work.

Students in the 8-12yrs group will also have the opportunity to learn about all the ‘behind the scenes’
jobs necessary to putting on a production and working with industry professionals to put them
into practice for their production of ‘What A Knight!’.

The 11-16yrs group will focus on developing their performance skills and will be working towards
their own production of Shakespeare 4 Kidz’ ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.
This will be a larger-scale production than previous years and each group will be cast separate
ly giving students more of a chance than ever to show off their skills!
