Sainsbury's Oakham, Update, APP2012/0665

Sainsbury's application to build a foodstore at the Former Rutland County College site in Oakham is still to
be considered by Rutland County Council Development and Control Committee

The application is not included in the Agenda sent out today for the next meeting, a date has not yet been set.

Robert Oxley Sainsbury's Development Executive, The application has been opposed by Oakham Town Council. Although we are disappointed with their position, the final decision on whether or not to grant planning permission will be made by Rutland County Council.

If you are brave enough to approach the Tories like Cllr Plews, don't be surprised if you receive a rude
response if you don't agree with them. At a recent planning meeting I was shown e-mails sent to an
elderly couple from Tory Cllr Gene Plews they could be described as bullying and not very nice, the couple
were extremely upset that their councillor could behave in this way. I could not see any evidence he was
calling them idiots, but as his standards committee has approved such conduct, it would not surprise me if you were to receive such a rude response. If your very lucky you might even receive a piece of fiction from Tory Leader Roger Begy this was pointed out by a member of the public at the last council meeting I attended. Liars are always exposed in the end.
