The Slow Pace of Leicestershire Constabulary

A long time ago, I asked Leicestershire constabulary to investigate the despicable way in which they have treated me for a period of more than three years.

This included the handling or lack of handling of my complaints regarding letters sent to me, often containing sexual references and of a homophobic nature and the apparent disposal of those letters when handed into Oakham Police Station. (confirmed by jon Gower, recorded whilst handing in another offending letter, "doesnt it make a change now Johnny has gone we deal with your complaints" as he placed the letter into an evidence bag, I am told they recovered a finger print, Johnny is Inspector Monks the former LPU Commander, now at Loughborough)

I have a strong feeling Leicestershire Constabulary who has involved themselves in local governance and politics here in Oakham, were hoping I would just walk away from this issue and stop complaining. Well they are wrong.

A lot has been going on many hours of police time and mine to attempt to bring this 3 year nightmare to an end.

I have little confidence in Leicestershire Constabulary and expect a report containing, many " we should have done this and that", a typical trait of Leicestershire Constabulary when things go wrong within this institution.

Dear Mr Brookes

I hope this email reaches you, the last time I attempted to email you my email system crashed.  I have undertaken the investigation you requested but have one final question. I have located the election posters but I don’t know which officer was on the front desk at Oakham Police Station on the day that you handed them in.

Can you remember to whom you handed the posters?

The answer to this question can be found on a blog post from last year: Sgt Foster.

This was Easter time when a copy of a poster marked by me and handed into the police and a copy to Rutland County Council was sent back to me along with a letter post marked the South Midlands. The content of that letter was probably one of the most  disturbing and disgusting I had received through the post.

Like many of the letters, I have handed to Oakham police, until Inspector Monks was moved to Loughborough it was lost by the police.

Last October,  I asked Oakham Police Station to return the illegal election posters to me, I was told they did not know where they are.

I am pleased an officer from another station has now found them. As they are evidence that should not be lost and hopefully will be used when a person is eventually arrested and appears in Court.

Jokingly Leicestershire Constabulary has a link with "Stamp It Out" This local organisation has been no assistance to me throughout the 3 years +

Leicestershire Constabulary in my view has for 3 years+ supported and protected Homophobic, Sick and Vile Bigot(s). They could have dealt with these Hate Crimes years ago, but chose not to do anything.

Since replying this morning i received the following, I expect to wait at least 6 months for the outcome!

Mr Brookes
Thank you for your quick reply
