Rutland County Council Responds To Private Eye Article
A number of residents have contacted the council following the recent publication of an article in Private Eye magazine.
The
article covers a number of issues, but enquiries received by the
council this week focus on a decision taken by Full Council in October
2012.
At
this meeting, 21 Councillors* voted unanimously to “organise an
independent report on the actions of the Rutland Anti-Corruption
Party”. The three members of this political group are Councillors
Richard Gale, David Richardson and Nick Wainwright.
All
21 Councillors* also voted to support the following statement: “That
the Chief Executive and senior officers be congratulated on the
professional way in which they conduct Rutland County Council business
and that the Council has every confidence in them.”
If
any local resident wishes to find out more about, or have a greater
understanding of, the decision taken by Councillors, they can read the
