Hundreds More Homes for Oakham, A much smaller Community Centre, Hawsmead, Development Control & Licensing Committee, Rutland County Council

Development Control & Licensing Committee

Date: 8 January 2013
Time: 6.00pm
Venue: Council Chamber, Catmose, Oakham

Rutland County Councils planning committee meet this evening.

To consider approving the hundreds more Hawksmead home for Oakham.

I can not imagine this application will be turned down, Rutland County Council
are hardly likely to want another row with the developer.

Cllr King and Plews both Tory want to get their hands on the 106 payments for
their sports projects. Later this week.

The community was expecting a rather grand new £1.3 million community centre.

The local media and press has been  instructed by the council to publicise the
new community centre will cost £5,000 , what they are failing to tell the public in
with their usual support of this rotten Tory bunch is a much bigger pot of cash is
available.

I think it suits the council that a token centre is built, they would not really want
a sense of community in Oakham they could not control.

(I have heard the Tory Cabinet is considering closing the dangerous coffee houses?)

Oakham currently has no community centres so no chance of the community getting
together to over throw this Tory Mob.

Cllr Roper pointed out at last nights meeting how good residents are at protesting
once the horse has bolted. I think that something that suits our councils.
