Oakham School, The Oakham Chain Saw Massacre, Half Term
Oakham School, The Oakham Chain Saw Massacre, Half Term
Oakham School were last month granted planning approval to demolish and
build new buildings by a delegated planning officer.
The matter did go before Oakham Town Council who raised no objections.
The Tree Warden Cllr Joyce Lucas raised no concerns stating "Oakham School
always do a lovely job"
This week Oakham School started that good work by chopping down many
healthy trees on site,
I don't object to the school building new rooms, but I do hate to see trees
killed off in the process.
I trust the Tree warden and Rutland County Council keeping an eye on those
fine trees on site that have TPO's attached to them.
This fine tree has gone, I was passing and took this photograph showing just
the lower branches removed.
The two house behind are to be demolished.
