Tory Chairman, Rutland County Council, flexibility or Tirrany
Tory Chairman Councillor Parsons introduced a odd new rule to council meetings
He has started to insist Councillors raise points of interest by approaching him
and speaking in private.
At tonight's meeting I sensed a slight rebellion from the Tory ranks to this ridiculous.
Former Police Authority Chairman and Tory Councillor Mr Roper a current member
of the police commissioners committee refused to leave his seat to raise a point of order
suggesting to Chairman Parsons his legs can't stretch that far tonight.
Cllr Gale of the Rutland Anti Corruption Party objected and asked the chairman
has there been another rule change.
Tory Councillor Mr Parsons replied flexibility.
I believe Tory Councillor and Deputy Leader Terry King also raised a point of order from
his seat.
