Sainsbury's Oakham, Rutland County Council, Special Planning Meeting and Councillors Surgery

Cllr Lucas, Oakham Town Council      Cllr Charles Haworth Oakham Town Council

Oakham Town Councillors and Rutland County Councillors from the Oakham North West Ward will be holding a surgery on Saturday 23rd March at the Town Council offices. Victoria Hall Oakham.

The surgery will run from 10.00am - 1.00pm.

Residents of Oakham North West are invited to come along and discuss:

The proposed Sainsbury's development
The proposed changes to the Horseshoe Public House
The green space along the Barleythorpe Road that may be leased to Oakham Town Council

There is little point chatting to the pointless Town Councillors as they have already voted and
rejected the Sainsbury application. No views from the public were received and most Town Councillors
decided to reject for personal reasons around transport.

After a backlash on-line from the Old Guard the Mayor Cllr Dewis spoke to media and claimed
to speak for all others councillors, even wrongly suggesting the town council could change its mind.
A bit foolish

It is worth putting yours views to the two Rutland County Councillors.

They will be attending a special meeting of Rutland County Council on Monday
