Arts for Rutland receives £7,000 of public money from Rutland County Council it also has an operating surplus of £3,293.
On January 30th this year they announced the offer of small grant for local arts projects.
It comes as no surprise they only received one application from a group some of their committee members are involved in.
Minutes from their last meeting state the small grants scheme has only received one application and that from Rutland Open Studios. This was an excellent application and scored 85 out of 100 points. Accordingly it will receive the £500 for which it had bid.
This reminds me of how one of their committee members surprisingly won a cash prize at this years arts 4 rutland show at the rutland county museum.
