Rutland County Council Planning Meeting, Everards, Horse Shoe Pub, Oakham, Travellers Site, Langham, Photographs

It is often said when you want the police they are
know where to be seen. Whilst waiting for news
from Rutland County Councils planning meeting the
police passed 8 times.

The weather was terrible.

(Right) Cllr Nick Wainwright, Rutland Anti Corruption Party Member

Rutland county council approved a permanent travellers site in Langham.

speaking to a traveller after your meeting he said "we are very happy we hope can be part of the community and settle down"

A langham resident and parish councillor said read the Langham Parish council report.

She said "The biggest casualty tonight was the truth."

She went on to say that Tory  Edward  Baines "has been very divisive."
She finished by saying "once again Rutland County Council is messing it all up."

Later I received a voice mail message from a member of the public who said they
thought Mr Baines was wonderful and very supportive of the travellers.

Rutland county council considered plans to change the horseshoe pub in in a convenience store.

No decision was made and the matter was  deferred.

To give the brewery a chance to reconsider and make amendments to the plans.
