The East Midlands Book Award is an annual award of 1000 given to a writer of Fiction, Creative Non-Fiction, or Poetry. This year’s short-list includes Alison Moore’s Man Booker short-listed The Lighthouse and International Impac Dublin Literary Award winner Jon McGregor’s This Isn't the Sort Of Thing That Happens To Someone Like you. The award for best book of 2012 will be presented by celebrated crime writer John Harvey. Canapés provided by Hambleton Hall. We also celebrate the start of the Festival.
