Rocket Wednesdays at Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery

Rocket Wednesdays at Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery

Children will love flying to the moon with Peterborough Museum’s build-your-own-rocket
workshops, which will be available on Wednesday 31 July and then every
Wednesday in August, 10.30am-12.30pm.

Design and build your own bottle rocket, then put it to the test.
What features make the best rocket?
How are bottle rockets like real rockets? Plus make a hovercraft to
demonstrate Newton’s third law!

“This will be a very hands-on workshop with plenty of science content,”
says Carol Law, Vivacity Heritage’s Education and Learning Officer.
“Plus while you’re here, make sure you see Peterborough Museum’s Space:
Fact & Fiction exhibition, which is supported by the UK Space Agency.”

Space snacks included!

Booking is essential

£5 per child (accompanying adults free).

Sessions aimed at children 7-14 years old.
