Election Posters continued harassment from the local mob, Since 2009, CPS not to charge Oakham Town Councillor

Election Posters continued harassment from the local mob.

Since 2009 I have been subjected to various methods of harassment.
One person responsible is a serving town councillor, who for legal reasons will be called one big lying fool.

Fortunately for them the CPS is not taking any action against them.

This sends out the wrong message, this person has harassed me since 2009 according to their police statement because they and his six friends deduced I am mental?

I don't know the ID of  their six friends. I do know the conduct I have been subjected to since 2009
has been disgusting. I know one friend is at least one former Mayor and the other is Cllr Joyce Lucas.

The CPS has given the green light, for any person serving in public office to behave in the most disgusting
pornographic, disgusting bullying and intimidating manner.

I wonder if Leicestershire Police even bothered to point out their standing in the community to the CPS?

I hope when they travel to America in a few days, they have not declared their arrest and applied for the appropriate visa, given full disclosure and the American immigration treat them in the way they deserve to be treated.

I still would like to know how the Councillor who can not be named at the moment, who has been unemployed for many more years then me can afford their lifestyle.

They have the cheek to call me a sponger, I have not been able to afford a holiday for they last 6 years.

Maybe when they return from their holiday abroad they can write an explanation on their blog on
just how you spread your benefits so far?

So far you can afford to run smart cars and trips abroad each year?

I must be doing something wrong with my basic allowance?

Reply from Commission  re: posters

The Commission has no powers to regulate the content of political campaign literature and we do not investigate individual allegations of electoral malpractice as these are issues for the Police to deal with. In dealing with allegations of this nature we would expect the Police to take into account the views of the ###### #####.

We do not think it is appropriate for us to comment on issues concerning #### ### especially given the pending legal proceedings.

We have seen a copy of the poster that you mention which appeared shortly before this by-election. It is our understanding that the Police took the view that, on the facts, no offence had been committed under electoral law but that there was a possibility that the offence of harassment may have been committed by whoever produced/distributed/displayed the posters. We would not disagree with the conclusion that the Police came to. Whilst it is a criminal offence under section 106 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 to make or publish a false statement in relation to a candidate’s personal character or conduct it does not seem to us that this provision would apply in this case. However, as I mentioned above the investigation of offences under that provision is a matter for the Police and not the Commission.

In regard to your request for a copy of  letter that the Commission sent back in 2011 to another person in regard to the election and count arrangements at Rutland unfortunately, despite an extensive search of our records, we have been unable to trace a copy of that letter and so we are unable to comply with your request. Under the Commission’s Retention and Disposal Policy for documents correspondence is normally only kept for one year so any such letter will have been disposed of some time ago.

We hope that deals with all the issues outstanding from your e-mail.

Regards
