Oakham Open Garden raising money for The Histiocytosis Research Trust in memory of two-year-old Oliver Scholes, from Stamford

Oakham Open Garden raising money for The Histiocytosis Research Trust in memory of two-year-old Oliver Scholes, from Stamford, who died of haemophagocytic lymph-ohistiocytosis last year.

Garden features include a Paulownia tomentosa tree, which was named by the Guinness World Records as the fastest growing tree. 

The garden also includes rare trees and shrubs, an orchard and a few hidden surprises.

The garden, at 69A Brooke Road, Oakham, will open on Sunday, August 25 from 1pm to 6pm.

Admission is £3 and Pimms and other refreshments will be available to buy.
