Oakham Town Council, Christmas Lights 2013, Further Costs

Oakham Town Council year after year wastes thousands of pounds
on poor Christmas lights for the town.

This year it has decided to spend more a replace the lamp post
displays, destroyed by the company meant to look after them.

It also finally decided to pay for the lighting of the towns Christmas
Tree, which in the past was donated by the Rotary Club, last year the
town council paid the Rotary for the tree so they could continue the
tradition? I am not aware if they will be doing the same this year.

There will be an additional tree this year a modern cone tree placed on
the canopy of Victoria Hall.

All the white LED bulbs used along the high street will be disposed off and
replaced with Icicle style lights.

They are spending an extra £8,000
