As part of work to promote the use
of electric vehicles within the county
of Rutland, Uppingham First is to collaborate
with car manufacturer BMW and local dealer
Peterborough to showcase several
BMW I3 electric cars.

The new car is to be launched in November this year and Rutland's
developing network of  car charging points has attracted national attention.

A special event is being organised at The Falcon Hotel in Uppingham.

The hotel leads the county on the business application of electric cars,
collecting and transporting hotel guests by electric car when requested.

The hotel is also one of three in Rutland to offer free recharging of electric
cars to touring visitors. Two other charging points are being located in
public car parks in the county market towns of Uppingham and Oakham.

Invitations to view the new car in Uppingham and several other locations
in the county will be issued in October.

Interested parties are invited to contact secretary@uppinghamfirst.co.uk
to be put on the mailing list.
