If you agree that Richard III should be re-interred in Leicester, please sign the petition

We believe it is very important to preserve the history of our region.

Richard visited the the midlands on many occasions and visited Leicester FIVE times during his reign as King Of England. Richard was born in the Midlands and his Mother, father and brother are buried at his family home in Northamptonshire.

Although the castle is now in ruins.

The man whose DNA helped identify the remains of Richard III has backed Leicester in the battle of the bones.

Michael Ibsen, Richard’s 17th great-grandnephew, is the only publicly known person whose DNA has been matched to the king.

For the mortal remains of England's last Plantagenet King, Richard III, the last King to die in battle, recently discovered under a Council car-park in Leicester, to be re-interred with due dignity and respect in Leicester, where he was originally buried.
