Martin Brookes accused of stalking and harassing the chief executive of Rutland County Council and an Oakham town councillor has been found not guilty today

District judge John Temperley found Martin Brookes, 47, of the Willow Crescent, Oakham, not guilty on all four charges at Leicester Magistrates Court. (that's me) (apparently I am clearly a thorn in the side of our fine councils)

First I must thank my Legal team, Kate Nield and Krysia from Quality Solicitors and the superb advocate David  Swingler who have all tolerated me for many months.

Thanks to my friends who have also supported me in other ways.

Thanks to Rutland Food Bank ladies who are stars, for providing me with food and rather strangely Rutland County County who have assisted via the discretionary fund.

And the old dog who did not give me too much of a savaging when cross examining me. Although afterwards he said, he did. He being the prosecutor for the CPS.

Thanks to DS David MacDonald for pointing out it was nothing personal. Well one would not expect Leicestershire Police Officers to conduct themselves in an inappropriate manner, would one?

Moving on.

I am not going to comment too much at this time about Helen Briggs the Chief Executive Of Rutland County Council.

I am told "Illusive" (husband) is not well, so I wish him well.

District judge John Temperley suggested that Mr Haworth exaggerated events, I say he lied.
The Judge also ruled his conduct since 2009 towards me was Homophobic, Vile and I think disgusting.

Mr Haworth was not on trial, but has admitted committing crimes against me since 2008.

A detective Sgt from our fine force that is Leicestershire Police, took the decision not to prosecute the councillor for his homophobic hate crimes.

A local officer told me it was the CPS who had decided not to prosecute Cllr Haworth, we now know that was not true was the officer was mistaken.

The Sgt has invited me to ask him to review the case. I was one step ahead of him and I had already asked Leicestershire Police to accept a fresh complaint from me or I would be suing the arse of them for the apparent support they have given these three men over the years.

I hope to be meeting with the police very soon to report Homophobic Hate Crimes. committed against me since 2008 by Cllr Charles Haworth, Mr Harrison and Mr Beech.

In conclusion is it not time  Cllr Haworth did the decent thing and resigned. The same request goes out to Cllr Joyce Lucas who has held his hand throughout and any other town councillor and staff who has supported Hate Crimes.

as Deputy Mayor of Oakham

I am not going to attack poor Mr Haworth, I have been searching the archive of the old Rutland Chat Forum and thought I would conclude this post with one from Mr Haworth, posted by himself on the forum some years ago using his user name Lardboy describing himself.
