Swans Antiques Oakham, Sign Planning Application Cllr Dewis Is this a joke? Cllr Lucas worse ever application

Swans Antiques Oakham, Sign Planning Application Cllr Dewis Is this a joke?
Cllr Lucas worse ever application

Swans Antiques wants to move into premises in the high street. No one appears to object to
the change of use from residential to shop. The building is part of a splendid Georgian terrace
a listed building.

When councillors were shown plans for the signs Cllr Dewsi repeatedly gave his view by asking
is this a joke?

I don't think any signs should be approved none of the other companies in the terrace can have one
Swans want three and lights.

Two being long hanging banners a photograph of The London Trocadero was shown as  an example
probably a poor example.

Later on Twitter Swans tweeted another stylish antique shop with jus ttwo of the banners.

I still think they should stick to a brass name plate.

Swans had one supporter the Tory Mayor Adam Lowe, a keen supporter of ex Tory County Councillor
Peter Jones the owner.

Cllr Licas reminded Cllrs about a previous application from the Admiral Hornblower a pub, All Councillors
were banned after they voted against their application. She added the Swans application was even worse.

Swan's said they wont be banning Councillors from their shop.
