MP Alan Duncan Officially Opens Oakham Post Office

MP Alan Duncan Officially Opens Oakham Post Office.

MP Alan Duncan flew in town today possibly first class to officially
open the new post office franchise within McColl's Oakham.

I enjoyed a free sausage in a bun, free tea and coffee coupons were also
given out to use in the newly refurbished coffee shop.

The new location for the Post Office seems to be going well,
accept many customers are unhappy with the lack of security
surrounding psoting a letter.

There is no post box inside or out. Staff at McColl's offer to put
peoples letters on the side or people have to wait a long time
to hand a letter to Post Office counter staff.

Post Office staff say there are no plans to provide one at the moment.

The post pox at the old building in the market place operated by Royal Mail is still in use
and there is another post box up the road outside wetherspoons pub.

There is another post box outside Martin's News Agents Cold Overton Road and another
in Tesco.
