Sainsburys Oakham Rutland, Mature Tree and Bird Box Destruction Photographs

Sainsburys Oakham Rutland, Mature Tree and Bird Box Destruction Photographs

Some of the oldest trees in Oakham have been destroyed by Sainsburys.
When I was outside the site the other week one of their employees became
agressive and objected to me taking photographs of what I could see from
the public road. So this weekend I walked onto the site to photograph the
destruction, many of the trees are being cleared not for the new store but
to make way for car parking spaces.

Sadly Rutland County Council or Oakham Town Council don't have any
consideration for our enviroment. 106 contributions are all that matter to
them.

Simmilar destruction happened at the former Catmose College site, there we
saw the loss of many trees which included former student memorial trees.

There is also evidence of the destruction of fairly new bird boxes.
