Sports Provision In Rutland Oakham Town Council Rutland County Council

Sports Provision In Rutland Oakham Town Council Rutland County Council

Oakham Town Council were consulted this week and asked to comment on Conservative Deputy Leader
Councillor Terry Kings plans/report to move all sports provision for Rutland to his former prison in Ashwell, Oakham business park.

Most Oakham Town Councillor were against it. Including Oakham's self appointed boss and his tory side
kick Cllr Stubbs.

Dewis said more sites in Oakham should be considered.

Cllr Martin, Guthrie agreed.

Cllr Lockett said could do better.

Cllr Dewis added an attack against those who are said to be Cllr Kings friends and the Vale Judo Club a succesful national chain that has enjoyed a close relationship with Rutland County Council for many years.
Cllr Dewis said they are only there refering to the prison site because they get a preferential rent rate from the council.

Cllr Dewis previously refered to the prison site as Cllr Kings Big White Elephant. Of  course when he ever meets up with King he bows and almost licks his rear. So hypocritical.

I wonder what the Ashwell residents think of the big change to their village. Since the Judo Club
move in the traffic especially on Sunday's in and out of the once sleepy village is horendous. I would
estimate there are more cars on the Ashwell Road than the High Street in Oakham.

The public can visit Oakham library and complete a comment form.
