TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 – APPEAL UNDER SECTION 78
Appeal by: Mr J Saville

For: Conversion of 6 Nos. garages to 2 Nos. commercial units (Class A2 Use).

Site: Land To South Of 1, Crown Street, Oakham, Rutland

Appeal Start Date: 08-May-2014

An appeal has been made to the Secretary of State against the decision of Rutland County Council to refuse to grant planning permission.  The appeal will be determined on the basis of written representations, an exchange of written statements by the parties and a site visit by an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State.

Copies of all correspondence received during the processing of the planning application will be forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate and the appellant.  These will be considered by the Inspector when determining the appeal.  Should you wish to make comments, or modify/withdraw your previous representation, you can do so on the Planning Portal at www.planningportal.gov.uk/pcs or by emailing teamp1@pins.gsi.gov.uk.  Alternatively, you can send three copies to Mr Robert Nash, The Planning Inspectorate, Wing 3/09 Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Bristol, BS1 6PN.

All representations must be received by 12-Jun-2014.  Any representations submitted after the deadline will not usually be considered and will be returned.  The Planning Inspectorate does not acknowledge representations.  All representations must quote the appeal reference.  Any representation you submit to the Planning Inspectorate will be copied to the appellant and this local planning authority and will be considered by the Inspector when determining the appeal.

The appeal documents are available on our website www.rutland.gov.uk/applicationsearch by entering the reference number 2013/0989/FUL.

A copy of the booklet ‘Guide to taking part in planning appeals’ is available free of charge from the Planning Portal at www.planningportal.gov.uk/pcs or from us.  When made, the decision will be published on the Planning Portal.
