Oakham Bus Station Not Completed Rutland County Council Ran Out Of Money

Oakham  Bus Station Not Completed Rutland County Council Ran Out Of Money

A courtyard and room at the new bus station remains unused because Rutland County Council ran out of money?

The council spent nearly a million pounds on the bus station.

Bus drivers are not happy because there are no facilties for them.

Members of the public are complaining to Rutland Radio about the toilet one unisex cubicle.

Sometimes up to five buses arrive at the same time, so you can imagine the scrum for the loo.

Passengers are also missing buses because the route indicator is giving out incorrect information.

One bus driver said "you have to give them credit for building a nice empty box"

A box that is locked when most passengers are travelling to work or schools. It is meant to open at
7.00am this morning it was still closed at 7.05am.

And don't be fooled by the new litter bin and it claim to being green by offering recyling, Cory told Oakham Town Council when they considered locating these in Cutts Close they don't recyle litter because it is not
cost effective.
