Rutland Fundraisers no longer supporting Macmillan, Launch For Rutland In Rutland Charity

Rutland Fundraisers no longer supporting Macmillan, Launch For Rutland In Rutland Charity

A group of fundraisers led by former High Sheriff of Rutland Trish Ruddle have dumped Macmillan
after raising many thousands for the charity.

Event included the bottle of booze tombola at the county show and the second hand clothes sales and collecting at the Oakham Boxing Day Hunt.

The group has launched For Rutland In Rutland Charity which they hope will raise funds for local people with Cancer and Alzheimer's.

Their first fundraising event will be the tombola stall at this weekends County Show.

Oakham Mayor Jayne Woodcock has chosen to support as her charity for the year.

In an attempt to find out more about this charity I have nothing on-line and using the charity commissioners charity checker brings up no details.

Personally I think there are to many small Rutland Charities and seeing the likes of homophobic racist, Cllr Charles Haworth, along with Cllr Joyce Lucas sitting on committees who decide, who will or not get help disturbing form these local charities disturbing.
