Oakham Town Council will agree Licence for new Oakham in Bloom Rockery created in the Parish of Exton, Bike Stolen

Oakham Town Council will agree Licence for new Oakham in Bloom Rockery created in the Parish of Exton

Oakham Bloom created a flower bed outside Oakham and Rutland County Councils rather clueless Chief Executive Helen Briggs drew up a licence for the rockery at the side of Uppingham Road within the parish
of Exton.

The licence she produced said there should be no rocks!

The town Clerk reported this will now be amended. He also said Rutland County Council has no problem with agreeing the licence even though the rockery described as a flower bed is not in Oakham.

I always enjoy the work and creations of Oakham in Bloom, I am sorry to say this is the worse creation I have ever seen. I have witnessed how this installation is a dangerous distraction to motorists. Travelling in a car when the driver turned to look at the bike and rocks

The bike has been stolen, although this is not a good thing to happen, I am slightly pleased the dangerous distraction has been removed from a very busy road.
