Oakham Castle
As is customary in Oakham as a senior member of The Royal Family The Duchess of Cornwall will present a decorative horseshoe to the Lord of the Manor Mr Hanbury. The Horse Shoe has been made by Mr John Spence.
The details of the Castle Private Visit Organised by our Tory Council and paid for by the local tax payers
have now been removed from the information page of Rutland County Council's website
Prince Charles and Camilla will then walk the grounds of Oakham Castle, where they will meet military personnel from Kendrew Barracks and St Georges Barracks, as well as scout and guide groups.
30 children from local primary schools singing in the castle, before the Duchess of Cornwall presents a decorative horseshoe to the Lord of the Manor Mr Hanbury to be displayed at Oakham Castle.
Looking at the state of the castle grounds this morning I am guessing this private walk in the
grounds has been cancelled? more likely a security screw up by our useless council.
It is possible the council is letting the royal couple see it in its normal state just as regular
visitors do?
Has Cory gone on strike? traders tell me the town has not seen its normal once a day clean up.
