Oakham Town Council, Permits Kitschen Vintage Coffee Van to trade in Cutts Close almost rent free

Oakham Town Council, Permits  Kitschen Vintage Coffee Van to trade in Cutts Close almost rent free

At last nights meeting I attempted to make a public deputation on behalf of some coffee shops that
trade in Oakham.

The Chairman of the Planning and Parks committee was so obnoxious and rude, I feel I failed to
give a proper deputation despite a determined effort to be heard.

Cllr Stan Stubs pointed out the public were witness's to my annoyed but polite reaction.

After the meeting Cllr Alf Dewis said I was a fault because I 'bit'

I assume he meant bit the bullets being fired by the very unprofessional Cllr Stan Stubs.

Since when has it been acceptable for Councillor to fire bullets at members of the public
who just want to lawfully address them at a public meeting.

Answer: when it is a Oakham Town Councillor.

I was pleased the witnessed once again our council inappropriate unprofessional conduct.

This morning I received direct Twitter messages from one trader who was present at last
nights meeting.

In the end the council approved the coffee van, a farce ensued before they approved the
applicants request.

The rent agreed was £25 for five days pro rata, that means it will probably
cost the council more to invoice than the sum it will bring in and they trader will be
laughing all the way to the bank.

The sum of £25 is based on the whole day paid by the ice cream seller recently approved
the coffee van is restricted to three hours on one unknown day for the next five weeks

The trader says she wont sell soft drink, how many children buy young people buy tea or coffee?

It would be fair to say the trader is a friend of Oakham Town Council her application was addressed to
